With your
help, MOM plans to build organic Wellness Gardens in communities throughout the
world in partnership with local municipalities, companies and cancer organizations.
These gardens will be managed by volunteer “Miracle Workers” that are trained by MOM to provide
assistance, instruction and hope to members of the community. Each garden will include organically
grown fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers as well as fountains, walking paths, places to meditate and
more. Each garden will be a living classroom for schools and families.

"And the
Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground -- trees
that were pleasing to the eye and good for food."
-- Genesis 2:9 |
MOM seeks to establish Miracle Wellness Gardens throughout the world. The gardens will be
physical, mental and spiritual safe havens where people can meditate, learn about the health benefits
of organic gardening (herbs, fruits, vegetables, healing and decorative plants), rejuvenate sitting by a
fountain, take a walk to reduce stress (stopping to smell the roses, of course), become inspired by
poetry inscribed on pathway stones, and even find a quiet nook to pray for or share time with loved
ones that are going through cancer. They can be as small as 1/8 acre or as large as many acres.
It is our goal to develop wellness advocacy teams of volunteer Miracle Workers, engaging
communities, teaching cancer-free lifestyle habits and establishing Miracle Wellness Gardens as
lasting legacies of hope and healing.

And one very sad story relating to
why we need to do what we are doing:

-
Imagine "community fruit" where people can share in one of life's healthy pleasures -- the
simple act of picking a piece of delicious organic fruit off of a tree and eating it.
-
Imagine people learning about ways they can detoxify their environment
and foods as part of a holistic wellness program.
-
Imagine students from
the local K-12 schools learning things from local college interns that
can keep them from getting cancer, or diabetes or suffering from
obesity.
-
Imagine neighbors actually getting to know one another.
Imagine everyone taking part in a healing experience that has long-since been forgotten -- time with their hands in the soil, helping each other to grow the very food they eat.
-
Imagine your grandchild asking you one day "What was it like back in the old days, when so many people used to get
cancer from all the chemicals in their food supply and all the toxic waste they put into the ground and into the air? I'm glad things changed so that people don't get cancer anymore."
Imagine that.

Partner with MOM to transform a neighborhood or a nation.

Financial partners are needed for development of gardens, maintenance, community outreach,
educational programs and cancer wellness research.
The cost of each garden will vary based on size, location and donations of products. Gardens will be
partially funded by the sponsorship of inspirationally engraved pathway stones for $2,500, engraved
benches for $5,000, commemorative sections for $10,000 and and gazebos for $20,000. Additional
sponsorship opportunities may be available.
Is there an empty lot in your neighborhood (possibly filled with trash or weeds)?
We are seeking
partnerships with municipalities to provide land with preservation status that can be transformed into
life-giving, beautiful community gardens. We believe the benefits to a community are far-reaching and
will inspire people to have deeper and more meaningful relationships, leading to a stronger nation.

Restaurant Partner Program.

We are seeking restaurant partners to assist with marketing, fundraising and educational programs.
Any chefs that raise $2,500 or more annually (through patron donations, fundraiser dinner, marketing
dollars, etc.) will be eligible to serve on the garden’s organic foods advisory board and serve food from
the garden in their restaurant at no cost to them as long as they feature information about the garden
(including the web address www.marathonofmiracles.org/name-of-local-garden) in the menu.
From time to time, the garden and a restaurant partner will host a lunch or dinner “Garden Party” event
where members of the community will be invited to learn how to prepare a healthy meal made in part
from food from the garden. This will give the chef a chance to give back to the community by teaching
healthy cooking and help the restaurant to cultivate a devoted clientele.
