Jane and A.J. Ali,
Founders of “Marathon of Miracles,” for cancer wellness, are active and
enthusiastic speakers on the subject of “Surviving, Thriving and Celebrating Life.” They are
available to your large or small group to give their firsthand account of how faith, humor,
celebration and H.O.P.E. (Healed Or Prevented Environmentally) helped them survive and
thrive through cancer as a couple. Speaker honorariums to benefit the Marathon of Miracles
nonprofit.
MOM is a nonprofit organization started in 2006 by cancer survivor Jane Ali and her husband A.J. Ali
after cancer diagnoses’ ran rampant and took many lives on both sides of their family for more than ten
years. After deciding that wellness programs weren’t being promoted nearly enough, they decided to
literally take their lives into their own hands and start learning -- and teaching others about all of the
wonderful organic, natural and eco-friendly ways to fight cancer through wellness rather than the
traditional western medical practice of “wait until you get sick and then get expensive treatments.”
MOM’s “Miracle Workers”
(volunteers) have served thousands of survivors and their families
through support programs, events, media and one-on-one help. MOM has
helped survivors get medical assistance, pay bills, find jobs, be
inspired and reconnect with life in meaningful new ways.
MOM Miracle Workers are on the
phone, online or meeting with people every day that are struggling with
cancer. Sometimes it is the friend, family member, co-worker or employer
that MOM is helping as they too have emotional, financial and other
issues they deal with because of their loved one fighting cancer. Cancer
takes a devastating toll on the survivor AND the people surrounding the
survivor. MOM is here to help at their time of need..
MOM serves everyone regardless of their
faith, ability to pay or health insurance status. MOM is based in
Malibu, CA, but works throughout the United States through a network of
volunteers called Miracle Workers. We hope to do in the world of cancer
what Habitat for Humanity has done for housing and what Feed the
Children has done for hunger. Both of those organizations are Christian
organizations that work with people of all faiths to make a difference.
The long-term goals are to one day provide services to survivors around
the globe and help eradicate cancer in our lifetime. Right now we find
ways to help survivors celebrate each day as a gift, but we long for the
day where there can be a global Survivor Celebration of the end of cancer.
